Marcus Trescothick clubbed a superb unbeaten 108 for the biggest Friends Life t20 innings of the season as Somerset beat Essex by 143 runs at Chelmsford. The visiting captain scored his runs from only 61 deliveries to lead Somerset to 225 for 2.It was a total that Essex never challenged as they were bowled out for only 82, which meant they suffered the heaviest margin of defeat suffered by any county in the competition.Trescothick underlined his quality from the start as he plundered five sixes and 12 fours. He took part in a second-wicket stand of 71 in only six overs with Peter Trego, but the real fireworks arrived in the last four overs with James Hildreth as his partner.They blasted 74 runs from the 24 deliveries sent down by Ryan ten Doeschate, Tim Southee and Chris Wright. Hildreth finished with 64 from 29 balls, with the help of three sixes and four fours.The partnership produced an astonishing 127 runs in nine overs. Amid the carnage of the innings, fast bowler David Masters emerged with figures of 1 for 21 from his four overs, although three of them were sent down early on before Trescothick got into his stride.Wright and Southee conceded 57 and 50 respectively from their allocations of four overs, while ten Doeschate gave up 32 runs in two overs and left-arm spinner Tim Phillips 23 in one.Essex needed something bordering on the sensational if they were to deny Somerset. Although they began brightly by moving to 36 in the third over, thanks to a brief but belligerent innings from Ravi Bopara, it soon became clear the home side’s mission was one of trying to achieve some semblance of respectability.In the end they failed to do that. Their cause was hardly helped by the absence of Scott Styris, the New Zealander being unable to bat after seemingly pulling a hamstring in the middle of his final over and taking no further part in the game.From 36 without loss, Essex lurched from one crisis to another before they were put out of their misery in the 11th over. Bopara top-scored with 29 from 14 balls, three of which he blasted for six, while medium-pacer Craig Meschede proved Somerset’s most successful bowler by picking up 3 for 9 in 1.3 overs.Steve Kirby finished with 2 for 19 and Murali Kartik 2 for 7, both of them sending down a couple of overs. Essex’s score was their lowest in the competition and dealt another blow to their hopes of reaching the later stages.

Worcestershire squandered a decent position on the first day of their County Championship match at Sussex despite a debut half-century from teenager Aneesh Kapil.The 18-year-old from Wolverhampton made an attractive 54 in his first four-daygame while skipper Daryl Mitchell and Moeen Ali also made half-centuries.When Kapil and Dutchman Alex Kervezee were adding 88 for the fifth wicketeither side of tea to take their side to 244 for 4, Sussex’s decision to bowlfirst looked a mistake. But the tide turned when Kervezee chanced his arm looking for a third run which would have taken him to 50 and was run out by Joe Gatting’s accurate returnrunning round from third man.Worcestershire collapsed, losing their last six wickets for 56 runs and werebowled out for 290. That left Sussex six overs to negotiate before stumps and Ed Joyce and Gatting, promoted to open in the absence of Chris Nash who is with England Lions,survived comfortably to close on 16 for none.Sussex had been hoping to exploit any early dampness in the wicket and theimmediate signs were good. وقال أبو الوفا في تصريحات تلفزيونية ببرنامج “على مسؤوليتي”: “إيقاف التعامل يخص اتحاد الكرة، أي أنه لا يستلم جوائز ولا يظهر في المحافل الرسمية ومباريات اتحاد الكرة”.

وأضاف: “لا يمكننا منعه من حضور مباريات الزمالك من المدرجات، الجبلاية حولت الموضوع بالكامل إلى لجنة الانضباط”.

وأردف: “اتحاد الكرة متمسك بلجنة الانضباط، اللجنة تقدمت بالاستقالة ونحن رفضناها، نساند لجنة الانضباط في أي قرار، نهدف عودة الانضباط للكرة المصرية”.

وأكد: “الأندية التي عليها مديونية لاتحاد الكرة لا يمكنها قيد الصفقات الجديدة إلا إذا تم دفع على الأقل 25% من هذه المديونية وجدولة المتبقي وهذا الأمر يطبق على كل الأندية”.

وواصل: “وهذا لأن اتحاد الكرة يعيش أيامًا صعبة نظرًا لقلة الموارد المالية خلال الفترة الحالية، أعتقد أن الأهلي أنهى المديونية والزمالك لم يدفع ولم يقم بجدولة المديونية”.

واستكمل: “مارك كلاتنبرج سيأخذ ما له من مستحقات، ولم نتدخل أبدًا في عمله، هو من اختار معاونيه في لجنة الحكام”.

واستطرد: “لم يتدخل مجلس إدارة اتحاد الكرة معه في أي شيء، ليس لنا علاقة باختيارات الحكام، رحل لأنه كثير الغياب ولم نتحمل ذلك فضغطنا عليه لكي يأتي فقرر أن يرحل”.

ScorecardWarwickshire moved to the top of the County Championship and into pole position to win the competition for the first time since 2004 with a crushing innings and 114-run win over Nottinghamshire at Edgbaston.Warwickshire needed only 80 minutes to take Nottinghamshire’s last four wickets and romp to their ninth win of the season this morning, with seamer Chris Wright taking his second five-wicket haul in three matches since he joined on loan from Essex. Wright, who is in negotiations with Warwickshire about a contract for next season, has now taken 19 wickets since he arrived at Edgbaston.Only Alex Hales, who carried his bat for 106 out of Nottinghamshire’s 222, offered prolonged resistance but Warwickshire still climbed above previous leaders Durham, who sat out the penultimate round of matches. It represents a remarkable turnaround for Warwickshire who were battling relegation 12 months ago while Nottinghamshire were on their way to the title.But the roles were reversed here with Warwickshire completing only the fifth double over Nottinghamshire in their history following a nine-wicket success at Trent Bridge in May.The biggest threat to Warwickshire’s victory hopes was posed by the weather. There was light rain around when the players arrived at the ground and further showers were forcecast for midday.But the rain cleared in time to allow play to start on time and Warwickshire made an early breakthrough when Paul Franks thick edged Rikki Clarke’s sixth ball of the day to Chris Metters at third slip. Hales, the only Nottinghamshire batsman to play with any composure in the second innings, survived a confident lbw appeal from Clarke and then drove the same bowler through the covers for his first boundary of the morning.Darren Pattinson never looked comfortable, even though he twice flayed Clarke through mid off for boundaries, and he was eventually undone by a yorker from Wright which he failed to dig out. Hales turned down easy singles in his last-wicket partnership with Luke Fletcher to ensure that he farmed the strike and completed his third century of the season.He got there by off driving Wright for his 12th four from 169 balls after which Fletcher went for his shots, including a huge pulled six off Boyd Rankin. Warwickshire turned to Chris Metters to wrap up their first innings win over Nottinghamshire since 1966, and the slow left-armer struck with his fourth ball of the match when Fletcher drove a long hop to cover.
