نشر الفرنسي كريم بنزيما مهاجم ريال مدريد، مقطع فيديو عبر حسابه الرسمي على موقع “إنستجرام”، قبل مباراة فريقه أمام تشيلسي في بطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا.

وحل ريال مدريد ضيفًا على تشيلسي الأسبوع الماضي، في ذهاب ربع نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا بملعب “ستامفورد بريدج”.

ونشر بنزيما مقطع فيديو يظهر أحد أفراد أمن الملعب وهو يمنعه من الدخول هو وزميليه ميندي وكامافينجا، لعدم ارتدائهم تصاريح الدخول.

وعلّق بنزيما على مقطع الفيديو: “ممنوع المرور.. ممنوع الدخول”، مستخدمًا رمزًا تعبيريًا ضاحكًا.

وتغلب ريال مدريد على تشيلسي بثلاثية لهدف على أرض الفريق الإنجليزي، وسجل بنزيما أهداف الميرنجي الثلاثة.

ولم تمر الصورة مرور الكرام، ولا حتى من قِبل مدرب ريال مدريد كارلو أنشيلوتي، الذي علق على الموقف في المؤتمر الصحفي بعد المباراة، قائلًا إن كل شيء كان سيختلف في المباراة، لولا وجود كريم بنزيما.

وسيستقبل ريال مدريد نظيره تشيلسي يوم الثلاثاء القادم لخوض مباراة الإياب على ملعب “سانتياجو برنابيو”.

Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been giving their thoughts to the club’s fixtures for the 2021/22 season on social media.

The Premier League released the dates for every top-flight fixture on Thursday morning.

Palace, who are still without a manager, start the campaign at Stamford Bridge to take on European champions Chelsea. They then host newly-promoted Brentford before ending August at West Ham.

September doesn’t get any easier for the Eagles, who face Tottenham and Liverpool before facing off against rivals Brighton at Selhurst Park. The return fixture against the Seagulls is scheduled for January 15.

Other notable dates include a trip to Spurs on Boxing Day, a home clash with West Ham on New Year’s Day and a final day fixture against Manchester United at Selhurst Park.

Derby County have been dealt a huge blow in their bid to bring George Edmundson to Pride Park this summer.

What’s the talk?

That’s according to a report by the Daily Record, who claim that Rangers are not prepared to sell the centre-back in the summer transfer window, with Steven Gerrard set to give the 23-year-old another chance in the Gers first team next season.

It is then reported that both Derby and Peterborough United were interested in a deal for the defender, with Posh thought to be prepared to make a six-figure offer for Edmundson, while the Record claim that Wayne Rooney’s side do not currently have the financial capacity to make an enticing bid for the £450k-rated man.

Fans will be gutted

Having impressed during a loan spell at Pride Park last season, the news that Rangers do not appear likely to allow Edmundson to leave the club this summer, as well as the fact that the Rams do not seem to have enough funds to even make an offer for the centre-back, is sure to leave fans of the club gutted.

Indeed, over his 10 Championship appearances for Derby last term, the £4k-per-week defender helped his side keep one clean sheet, as well as making an average of 0.5 interceptions, 1.4 tackles, 3.5 clearances and winning 6.1 duels per game.

These returns saw the 23-year-old earn a seasonal SofaScore match rating of 6.78, ranking him as Rooney’s 12th-best performer in the second tier of English football.

As such, with the 35-year-old undoubtedly hoping to put together a side in the summer transfer window that is capable of much more than just scraping survival next season, the signing of a player whom Gerrard once dubbed “faultless” would certainly appear to have increased the Rams’ chances of going on to achieve this feat.

However, with Rangers appearing unwilling to sell, as well as Peterborough seeming to have the upper hand should the defender become available, it does not look likely that Edmundson will be returning to Pride Park anytime soon.
