In an exclusive interview with Transfer Tavern, Rob Lee, who made 18 appearances for West Ham, admits he doesn’t think Issa Diop is worth the £60 million West Ham were quoting for him last season, despite having a good campaign.

The Hammers put a £60 million price tag on Diop’s head last summer to put off reported interest from Arsenal, which worked as the Frenchman stayed at the London Stadium.

In January, David Moyes was happy to let the £67,000 per week defender leave on loan but they never managed to reach an agreement with any clubs, and it remains to be seen whether the 24-year old is in the manager’s long term plans.

Speaking on why Diop is not worth £60 million and how he can’t expect to leave easily this summer, Lee told FFC:

“He’s had a good season but would I pay £60 million for him? No. I don’t think he pulled up any trees last year and he has done very well this year but he’s been in a good team.

“He has done well, but why because he has had one good season should he be looking to leave a club that stood by him when he wasn’t great last year?”

The Hammers have lost a bit of their momentum since Declan Rice’s injury having recently lost back-to-back games against Newcastle United and Chelsea.

West Ham have already signed a defender for next season as the club made Craig Dawson’s loan deal a permanent one for just £2 million from Watford.

O Fluminense fez mais um treino na manhã desta sexta-feira no CT Pedro Antônio visando a partida contra a Ponte Preta, neste domingo, no Moisés Lucarelli. A parte da atividade em que a imprensa teve acesso apresentou algumas novidades na equipe, que estava com mudanças em relação ao time que entrou contra o Atlético-PR.

O técnico Marcão comandou um treino tático em campo reduzido. Douglas, Marcos Júnior e Richarlison estavam no time titular nas vagas dePierre, Marquinho e Wellington (este suspenso para a partida contra a Ponte). O time titular estava formado com Julio Cesar; Wellington Silva, Gum, Henrique e William Matheus; Edson, Douglas, Cícero, Gustavo Scarpa e Marcos Junior; Richarlison.

Essas são mudanças em que o treinador está pensando em fazer para a partida de domingo. Segundo Marcão, esses jogadores tem grandes chances de atuar contra o time paulista.

– A gente fez algumas situações, foi interessante. No final a gente colocou esses meninos, é uma possibilidade de mudança de jogo. Eu acredito que tudo que a gente imaginou, a gente acabou fazendo com qualidade. Tem grandes possibilidades de, se não iniciar, contar com esses jogadores durante a partida – disse o treinador em coletiva após o treino.

Com esse esquema, Cícero foi recuado para atuar mais no meio-campo. Marcos Junior caiu pela esquerda, enquanto Scarpa pela direita. O atacante Richarlison atuou como referência na frente.

O Fluminense faz seu último treino antes de enfrentar a Ponte Preta neste sábado, também em seu centro de treinamento na Barra da Tijuca. O Tricolor ocupa a nona colocação do Brasileirão, com 49 pontos, a três do Atlético-PR, sexto colocado.

Writing on Twitter, the Sun journalist Alan Nixon has provided an update on the Tottenham Hotspur managerial situation and claims the club are biding their time and assessing which bosses in work would take the job – and he believes that the Lilywhites would be ‘daft’ not to consider the recently linked Nuno Espirito Santo.

Chairman Daniel Levy will debatably want to avoid a lucrative deal for any new boss he appoints given the financial toll brought upon by coronavirus over this last year.

Nuno could come as a bargain yet reasonably qualified coaching option given what he has managed to achieve with Wolves before injuries ravaged their current campaign.

Former Wolves keeper Matt Murray, speaking to This is Futbol recently, lauded the boss as a ‘genius’ and even compared him to Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa.

So, Levy could certainly do worse as he weighs up some outside candidates for the role.

تم تحديد مالك نادي تشيلسي رومان أبراموفيتش، من قبل وزارة الداخلية في عام 2019 على أنه له صلات بالدولة الروسية، بالإضافة إلى “أنشطة وممارسات فاسدة”، كما قال عضو برلماني من حزب العمال للبرلمان، واقترح على المملكة المتحدة مصادرة أصوله وحظره من امتلاك نادي كرة القدم.

وتابع، مستشهدًا بالوثيقة: “مثال على ذلك هو اعتراف أبراموفيتش في إجراءات المحكمة بأنه دفع من أجل التأثير السياسي، لذلك تركز حكومة صاحبة الجلالة على ضمان أن الأفراد المرتبطين بالتمويل غير المشروع والنشاط الخبيث غير قادرين على التمركز في المملكة المتحدة، وستستخدم الأدوات ذات الصلة المتاحة لها، بما في ذلك سلطات الهجرة، لمنع ذلك”.

Some West Ham United fans were livid after Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher chose Pep Guardiola over David Moyes for Premier League Manager of the Year on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.

Moyes has done a fantastic job with the Hammers this season. Last year the Irons were in danger of relegation, but this time around they have battled for a spot in the Champions League and, with three games left, they still have a chance of doing so.

While Manchester City are closing in on the Premier League title, they are expected to do so given the budget Guardiola has at his disposal – what Moyes has achieved is almost miraculous.

However, when discussing who should win the Premier League’s end of season awards, both Neville and Carragher went for Guardiola over Moyes. This did not go down well at all with plenty of West Ham supporters, some of whom took to social media platform Twitter to share their disappointment with the pundits’ decision.

Cuca fez modificações importantes na escalação titular do Palmeiras no treino desta quinta-feira, o primeiro em que esboçou a equipe para o jogo de domingo, contra a Chapecoense, no Allianz Parque – um empate garante o título brasileiro ao clube. O zagueiro Edu Dracena, o lateral-direito Fabiano e o atacante Erik foram as principais novidades no trabalho contra os garotos do sub-20.

Dracena foi utilizado na vaga do colombiano Yerry Mina, que se recupera de lesão na coxa esquerda e passou a tarde fazendo atividades com o fisioterapeuta Jomar Ottoni. Fabiano entrou na lacuna aberta por Tchê Tchê, que sente dores musculares desde a partida contra o Botafogo, domingo passado, em que precisou ser substituído. Com essa troca, Jean trabalhou no meio de campo. Por fim, Erik treinou na vaga de Róger Guedes por opção do técnico. Tanto Mina quanto Tchê Tchê são dúvidas para o jogo.

Houve ainda uma outra mudança em relação à escalação da última partida: o volante Thiago Santos iniciou o trabalho como titular, na vaga de Cleiton Xavier. O meia, porém, também foi testado durante a atividade.
