O Flamengo foi derrotado na penúltima partida da temporada, neste domingo, para o Atlético-PR por 3 a 0. Sem ambições para o encerramento do ano, domingo, contra o Palmeiras, no Maracanã, a única razão para motivação do elenco, segundo o atacante Marcelo Cirino, é a de terminar o ano bem diante de seu torcedor que ao longo da temporada não viu a campanha a qual esperava em janeiro.

– Infelizmente, nossa campanha não é das melhores. Sabemos disso. Mas jogar em Curitiba é complicado, falo isso porque durante muitos anos joguei na cidade. Mas vamos continuar trabalhando para ganhar mais um jogo diante da torcida e terminar o ano bem. Pelo elenco que temos, essa situação no campeonato não é digna, pelo que é Flamengo, então é claro que ficamos chateados. Fica de aprendizado para o próximo ano – afirmou o atacante Marcelo Cirino, após o jogo.

O Flamengo retorna nesta segunda-feira ao Rio de Janeiro e entra de folga. A reapresentação está prevista para a manhã desta terça-feira, no Ninho do Urubu. Até sábado, todas as atividades do elenco rubro-negro ocorrerão apenas em um período no CT.

كشفت صحيفة “ذا صن” البريطانية عن صراع إنجليزي ألماني على ضم لاعب وسط الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي برشلونة ومنتخب هولندا، فرينكي دي يونج.

وخرج دي يونج في تصريحات قبل ساعات يلمح من خلالها على ندمه بالانتقال إلى الدوري الإسباني وليس الإنجليزي وقال: “كنت اعتقد أن الليجا أقوى”.

يأتي ذلك في ظل الفترة السيئة التي يعشيها دي يونج مع برشلونة مؤخرا، وتأثر أدائه من أداء الفريق الكتالوني تحت قيادة المدرب، رونالد كومان.

وبالتالي، بدأت الأندية تترقب وضع دي يونج بحسب صحيفة “ذا صن”، التي أكدت أن هناك اهتماما من طرف ناديي بايرن ميونخ ومانشستر سيتي لضم الهولندي.

اهتمام بايرن ميونخ ليس للمرة الأولى، حيث رغب في ضم اللاعب في الميركاتو الصيفي الماضي مقابل 70 مليون يورو ولكن تم رفض العرض من برشلونة.

الجدير بالذكر أن دي يونج كان قد جدد عقده مع برشلونة في أكتوبر 2020 حتى 2026 مع شرط فسخ التعاقد مقابل 400 مليون يورو، وبالتالي، خروجه لن يتم إلا بموافقة النادي الكتالوني.

Glasgow Rangers crushed Celtic in a comprehensive 2-0 win at Parkhead to take all three points in the first Old Firm derby of the 2020/21 Scottish Premiership season.

For the first time since taking charge of the Ibrox outfit, it’s safe to say that Steven Gerrard isn’t exactly short of options. Glen Kamara, Scott Arfield and Steven Davis bullied their biggest rivals on the pitch, whilst Ryan Jack was a surprise substitute as Bongani Zungu was ruled out of the top of the table clash after being forced to quarantine upon his arrival in Scotland.

Competition for places isn’t exactly a bad thing, but it can cause a few headaches here and there, and it looks like there is a growing problem that could cause Gerrard a few sleepless nights.

Brandon Barker stakes his claim!

Rangers are absolutely stacked on the right wing, that’s for sure, after the addition of Ianis Hagi in the summer and the re-emergence of Jordan Jones in recent weeks but Brandon Barker gave a good account of himself after earning a rare start on Saturday, so you can see the problem that Gerrard faces. Both full-backs Borna Barisic and James Tavernier ran riot on the flanks, combining with Barker and Ryan Kent whenever they wanted to.

Per SofaScore, the 24-year-old, who earns wages of around £10,000-per-week, received a pass accuracy rating of 85%, won four out of seven ground duels, completed one successful dribble attempt, and made two tackles, which shows that the right winger put in a defensive shift too.

Tough choice

He is clearly highly rated by Gerrard as he was given the chance to show what he can do against Celtic instead of Hagi and Jones, but it’ll be hard to justify spending £4m on the 13-cap Romania international if he stays on the bench.

Jones could also be in with a shout. He received praise from Gareth McAuley after fighting back from the brink of an Ibrox exit, but was benched for the trip to Celtic Park. One thing’s for sure, with all three players competing for a space in the starting XI, one unlucky contender is almost always guaranteed to miss out on the matchday squad, as it is highly unlikely that there will be two spots on the bench for one position.

The ever-reliable Kent has started every game he has played this season so far, so that rules out any of them starting on the opposite wing anytime soon. Either way, we wouldn’t want to choose between the trio, so we’re glad it’s Gerrard’s decision at the end of the day!

There’s no doubting that Pablo Hernandez has been Leeds’ best player over the past few years.

The Spaniard became the first player in the club’s history to win three Player of the Year awards, but this season has been something of a slow burner for the 35-year-old.

He was injured in the first game of the season against Liverpool, and since then he hasn’t been seen in United’s starting XI.

Fortunately, he’s back fit appearing in two substitute cameos against both Wolves and Aston Villa, but we can’t help but feel that this is the role Hernandez may now have to accept going forward.

Marcelo Bielsa revealed last week that he sees Rodrigo as more of an attacking midfield option rather than a striking option, and you don’t spend a club-record fee on a player you’re just going to leave on the bench.

It’s also worth noting that Rodrigo is only getting better as the weeks go on, the 29-year-old was sublime against Villa playing two key passes, and getting into some really dangerous positions, getting four shots off.

The sad reality is that Hernandez may no longer be Leeds’ star man, and his new role may be as a substitute option.

The fact is that father time is undefeated, Hernandez turns 36 this season and the Premier League is so much faster than the Championship, so in his advanced years, he may not be athletic enough to be as integral as he was in the second-tier.

We all know how good he can be, but playing at such intensity for 90 minutes in such a fast league is a young man’s job, and Hernandez may have to come to terms with the fact that he doesn’t have that same speed he once had.

We’re sure he will still do a great job off the bench, after all, it was only last week that Alex McLeish was describing him as a ‘terrific’ player, but the arrival of Rodrigo may finally have seen him slip down the pecking order.

Whilst there were some positives to take away from the poor performance on Thursday night, there’s one player in particular who’s performance left a lot to be desired.

Goldson’s struggles?

Rangers defender Connor Goldson arguably struggled at the back as his stats tell a sorry story. As we’ve mentioned before, we think he is one of the best centre-backs in Scotland right now. But every once in a while, even the best footballers in the world have an off day – after all, they’re only human.

And Goldson is no exception to the rule, as he barely offered anything going forward, whilst he was also at times lackadaisical at the back. He didn’t make any key passes in the game, whilst he scored an unfortunate own goal.

Only a few days ago it looked like his defensive prowess made him the most important player on the pitch, but against Benfica his ball-carrying abilities seemed to have disappeared almost completely.

The 27-year-old did make one tackle, but he also committed one foul and lost possession of the ball four times, whilst he failed to register a single interception all game, which suggests that he was slightly off the pace when he was trying to win the ball back.

Give the man a break!

Now look, let’s just make one thing clear – we aren’t taking pot-shots at Goldson, and we’re certainly not trying to drag Gerrard over the coals. The Ibrox boss just needs to give Goldson a rest as he’s started every single league game for the Gers this season.

The Englishman is still a very good player, as he still won five out of six duels overall, he will just want to forget all about the game against Benfica, as he was slammed for his “shocking” defensive display by Ally McCoist.

With a home game against Hamilton Academical at the weekend, what better opportunity for Goldson to rest his weary legs? A brief spell on the sidelines should do the trick, as he could be replaced by Leon Balogun in the starting line-up. Sounds like a good idea, don’t you think?

However, Gerrard faces a difficult decision, as George Edmundson is currently suspended, which means it’s likely he will only be able to replace one of Goldson or Filip Helander, who also had a night to forget about in Lisbon. We don’t envy him the decision, that’s for sure.

A diretoria do Santos tem se esforçado para cumprir o pedido do técnico Dorival Júnior contra mudanças bruscas no elenco de 2016 em relação ao que terminou o segundo semestre de 2015 com o sétimo lugar do Brasileirão e o vice-campeonato da Copa do Brasil. Até o momento, apenas Gabriel Gasparotto (empréstimo), Chiquinho, Nilson e Leandro (liberados), Werley (sem acordo pela renovação) já estão fora, e Marquinhos Gabriel dificilmente permanece. Agora, o Peixe espera que as cinco ou seis saídas sejam as únicas, e as próximas novidades do mercado sejam positivas, de contratações.

Para cumprir o objetivo, o Santos precisará segurar seus jogadores mais valorizados: Lucas Lima, Gabigol e Geuvânio. O primeiro já recebeu uma oferta do futebol chinês neste fim de ano, mas os valores foram considerados baixos e recusados pelo meia da Seleção Brasileira. Gabigol está no radar de equipes da Europa, tem a preferência de compra acertada com o Barcelona e não está garantido. A respeito do último, o Santos já definiu que libera por 20 milhões de dólares (R$ 78 milhões), mas oTianjin Quanjian, clube da Segunda Divisão chinesa comandado por Vanderlei Luxemburgo, não formalizou oferta neste valor. Sem propostas, o Santos tenta manter todos os jogadores para 2016.

وتلاقى الفريقان في إطار منافسات الجولة الثانية عشر من بطولة الدوري الإسباني، حيث تعادلا بهدف لمثله.

ولم يتمكن سيرجيو أجويرو من استكمال المباراة، حيث خرج من الملعب وهو يعاني من ضيق بالتنفس وزيادة ضربات في القلب.

وخضع أجويرو لفحوص طبية في المستشفى، حيث قضى هناك ليلتين قبل خروجه.

وقال برشلونة في بيان رسمي منذ قليل: “خضع لاعب برشلونة سيرجيو أجويرو لعملية تشخيص وعلاج من قبل الدكتور جوزيب بروغادا”.

وأضاف: “إنه غير متاح للمشاركة، وخلال الأشهر الثلاثة المقبلة سيتم تقييم فعالية العلاج من أجل تحديد عملية ومدة الشفاء”.
