Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a latest report claiming French defender Frederic Guilbert has been ‘pushed’ towards an exit from the club as talk continues.

After securing their top flight status last season with a final day draw against West Ham United, Villa are now preparing for the new season.

Boss Dean Smith is expected to make several changes to his squad and utilise the transfer window, and one deal has already been completed with Matty Cash arriving from Nottingham Forest.

Cash was arguably one of the most in-form players in the Championship last season, holding down the right-back role in Sabri Lamouchi’s side whilst also chipping in with three goals and five assists. Paying an initial £14m, it is expected that he will go straight in to Smith’s starting eleven.

That has left Guilbert’s chances of finding first team football at Villa Park significantly reduced and a latest report from L’Equipe has now claimed that the Frenchman has been ‘pushed’ towards an exit by the club.

Guilbert joined up with Villa from Caen last summer and made 25 Premier League appearances in his first season.

Reacting to the report which was shared by Twitter account @AVFC_News, Villa fans gave their opinion on the defender’s future at the club with the majority hoping that he stays.

تحدث عمرو أدهم عضو لجنة إدارة الزمالك، عن أزمة محتملة بسبب محمد إبراهيم لاعب الفريق السابق، مع ماريتيمو البرتغالي، وعن بعض القضايا ضد الزمالك بسبب مستحقات لاعبين سابقين.

وقال أدهم خلال تصريحات عبر برنامج “مساء أون تايم” على قناة “أون تايم سبورتس”: “هناك أزمة محتملة لدى الزمالك بسبب عقد محمد إبراهيم لاعب ماريتيمو البرتغالي، كان هناك بند في عقده مع النادي البرتغالي ينص على أنه في حال انتقال اللاعب إلى ناد آخر يحق لماريتيمو الحصول على 40% من قيمة التعاقد، أو ما لا يقل عن مليون يورو”.

وأضاف: “تم استعجال أمر عودة محمد إبراهيم لأنه لم يشارك مع الفريق بشكل مباشر، بسبب اكتمال قائمة الفريق في هذا الوقت، كما أن الشرط الجزائي الذي تم وضعه في عقد اللاعب مع المقاصة كان غير مناسب وغير منطقي”.

وتابع: “لم يكن هناك محامي يتولى القضية والدفاع عن نادي الزمالك، والأرقام كلها في عقد محمد إبراهيم غريبة وغير مناسبة”.

وواصل: “نسعى قدر الإمكان لتجنب الضرر، ولا أملك معلومة عن شكل الحُكم النهائي في هذا الأمر، وللأسف لدينا تواجد مستمر في فيفا والمحكمة الرياضية في قضايا تخص حقوق ومستحقات لدى بعض الأطراف”.

وأكمل: “تواريخ الأحداث الخاصة بالقضية تدل على أن الأمر تم في مجلس الزمالك المنتخب، ولم أتعرض لعقد لاعب بهذه الصيغة في حياتي، ولا أستطيع أن أحكم على نية الأعضاء الذين كانوا متواجدون في فترة توقيع العقد”.

عن أزمة باتشيكو، أوضح: “نسعى للتواصل معه من أجل الاتفاق على جدولة المستحقات الخاصة به بعد الحكم الذي حصل عليه بما يقرب 8 ملايين جنيه”.

وأردف: “معروف يوسف لاعب الزمالك السابق محكوم له بـ7 ملايين و700 ألف جنيه مصري، وجروس المدرب الأسبق حصل على حكم نهائي بـ662 ألف يورو، أي ما يقرب من 14 مليون جنيه”.

وأكمل: “نجحنا في تسوية أزمة النادي مع اللاعب أشيمبونج بـ900 ألف دولار، أي ما يقرب من 15 مليون جنيه، وعلينا التزامات أخرى مثل مطالبة من نادي سبورتنج لشبونة البرتغالي بما يقرب من 15 مليون جنيه في قضية شيكابالا، بجانب مطالبة من خالد بوطيب بـ3 ملايين و400 ألف دولار، بما يقرب من 60 مليون جنيه”.

After playing the majority of last season with his trademark 4-3-3 formation, the Liverpool gaffer may be inclined to recreate his side from last weekend. The Reds played Blackpool in a preseason friendly and stormed to a huge 7-2 victory.

Gini Wijnaldum did not feature, instead Naby Keita and Fabinho operated in deeper-lying midfield roles whilst Takumi Minamino shifted behind Roberto Firmino. The former Red Bull Salzburg man – who is usually deployed on the wing – put in a terrific performance in midfield, bagging a goal and an assist (via Sofascore).

With Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain both still out with injury, this could be Klopp’s preferred midfield.

Joel Matip similarly grabbed himself a goal against Blackpool and made only his second start in Liverpool’s last ten fixtures. The manager may opt to try him with another run out before reassigning Joe Gomez to his usual role alongside Virgil van Dijk.

A usual front three of Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah should allow Liverpool to place their mark on the game early on. They’ll be looking for nothing less than three points on the opening weekend.

Robert Platek, who was once linked with a takeover of Sunderland has purchased a new club in Danish side SønderjyskE Fodbold.

With the new 2020/21 season underway for Sunderland, talk of a potential takeover has somewhat softened.

Current Black Cats chief Stewart Donald has pressure mounting on his shoulders as his search for a new buyer of the club continues, having took over the Wearsiders in 2018 before sensationally revealing after just 19 months in charge that he wanted to sell the club.

A whole host of names have since been touted as his successor, including Sammy Yu, Mark Campbell, Michael Gray and energy drink entrepreneur William Storey to show an interest.

Linked with a potential takeover previously, Platek was a key member of FPP Sunderland, the trio of New York-based businessmen who held talks with Donald last year.

A deal did develop but not for Platek and his partners to take over but instead to loan Donald money to operate the club.

Taking over SønderjyskE Fodbold, a statement from the Danish club said: “The Platek family has just bought SønderjyskE Fodbold, which will thus have the opportunity to consolidate and develop further in the 3F Superliga.

“The organization will be the same, and so will the values ​​and the light blue colors. If the local support continues unabated, there is good reason to see light blue on the future of the South Jutland Superliga project.”

With talk somewhat subduing regarding a potential takeover at Sunderland this year, William Storey, linked with the club, has been the most recently vocal, providing fans with an update on how his talks with the Wearsiders are progressing.

Another potential owner takes his money elsewhere and it does look extremely unlikely that a takeover deal will develop anytime soon.

Stewart Donald continues to want to sell but little talk has seen a deal progress and focus must remain on the pitch at this present time.

Everton Director of Football Marcel Brands has an easy call to make on Deadline Day regarding the future of outcast winger and Middlesbrough target Yannick Bolasie.

What’s the word?

According to Sky Sports, Neil Warnock’s Boro are looking to lure Bolasie to the Riverside Stadium two years after he snubbed a potential move to the North East.

Bolasie favoured a deal to join Aston Villa in the second-tier at the time, but would now be keen to join Middlesbrough after preliminary talks were held with the Championship side.

Boro would need to finalise terms on a transfer with Everton by 17:00 on Friday with the domestic transfer window nearing its end, and would require the Toffees subsidising a large proportion of the 31-year-old’s £75,000-per-week contract, per Sky Sports’ Keith Downie.

Bolasie spent last season on loan with Sporting CP, scoring twice in 25 appearances before returning to Goodison Park after the Liga NOS giants opted against triggering a €4.5million (£4m) option to buy clause.

His last of 32 appearances for the Toffees came in May 2018 before joining Aston Villa, KRC Genk and Sporting on loan deals, having missed much of the 2016/17 season through a cruciate ligament rupture.

Boro have begun their 2020/21 Championship campaign with one win from four games, yet sit just two points outside of the Play-Off places after claiming a 2-1 victory over the winless Barnsley prior to the international break.

A simple task for Brands

Everton offloading Bolasie to Boro on Deadline Day is a simple task for Brands, as the Dutch chief will be well aware that Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti has no place in mind for the attacker.

Ancelotti told reporters earlier this month, via quotes by the Liverpool Echo, that the DR Congo international will not feature in Everton’s 25-man squad for the Premier League season.

“Bolasie is doing well, he’s training well and properly. He’s a professional,” said Ancelotti. “He is not part of the squad. He can train with us if he’s not able to find a club until the end of the market, and if he stays here of course we are going to train him.

“But I said to him that we have a big squad, and unfortunately there is no space for him.”

Brands, therefore, must entertain the idea of loaning Bolasie to Middlesbrough even if Everton are required to pay a large per cent of his £75k-p/w contract, as Boro covering any part of his deal will ease the financial commitment being made to a player deemed surplus to requirements.

Bolasie being a part of the domestic Deadline Day is the real shame for the winger, having been signed from Crystal Palace for £25million in 2016 only to see his career nosedive since arriving at Goodison Park.

His knee ligament injury played a great role in the decline seen, but former Everton boss Sam Allardyce could still see the threat Bolasie offered following the blow.

“The team has been crying out for what he offers,” Allardyce said, via quotes by The Guardian in 2017. “Yannick is blessed with dynamic movements and pace that cause defenders great concern. He probably occupies two players when he’s at his best because he’s such a danger in possession.”

Warnock will be hopeful that Bolasie can offer his Boro side that level of offensive threat, having netted just twice in 21 Championship appearances for Aston Villa during his half-season stint in Birmingham.
