The grind never really stops for Jurgen Klopp.

Not only is he responsible for delivering Liverpool’s present success, he’s also responsible for making sure they maintain their dominance in future. Klopp’s clearly a big believer in promoting youth and has some impressive talents whom he can’t wait to start working on next season.

Among those leads is a certain Ryan Kent, whose excellent work at Rangers won him many plaudits over this season. The 22-year-old’s enjoyed a prolific season under Steven Gerrard, scoring six goals in the Scottish Premiership. The former Liverpool captain’s given him free will to do as he pleases, something Kent’s really benefitted from.

He’s been an irresistible figure in the attacking third for the Gers, with his electric movement and tricky dribbling ability bamboozling defenders. The 22-year-old’s caused nightmares thanks to his ambitious nature, which has allowed him to score stunning goals and trouble opponents with his fiery movement.

Kent (valued at just £1.58m by Transfermarkt) is more than ready to glitter up Liverpool’s attack, being a prolific squad option for Jurgen Klopp next season. The German gaffer must recognize the excellent potential in this exciting talent and slowly integrate him into his style for maximum effect.

Knowing his excellent work with youngsters over the years, Kent’s the perfect player for him to mould into something special. The 22-year-old possesses bags of potential, showcasing confidence moving forward with the ball while also causing destruction in the final third.

If moulded well enough, he could become Liverpool’s leader in attack and keep their attacking flare raging on for years to come.

For Arsenal fans, having more than one defender capable of playing consistently well seems like an almost impossible feat, but it was once the case when Gabriel Paulista was at the club.

The Brazilian defender joined the Gunners in the winter transfer window of 2015 when Arsene Wenger realised midway through the 2014/15 season that the team needed more than two fully fit centre-backs in Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker, and after a few games of Nacho Monreal and Calum Chambers covering in central defence, it was quickly apparent Arsenal needed reinforcements, and Gabriel was brought in.

Signed for £11.2 million from Villarreal, Gabriel joined the Gunners with a respectable reputation after a good half-season with the Yellow Submarine, and good things were expected of the Brazilian defender.

Gabriel’s first season with the Gunners saw the defender establish himself as a solid member of the Arsenal team, with his warrior-attitude and impressive last-ditch tackles the Brazilian quickly became a fan favourite in north London, but it soon became apparent that the centre-back might not last long in the Premier League.

First-team opportunities were hard to come by and there were reports that Gabriel had found it hard to adjust to life in England, which is why it didn’t come as a surprise when Arsene Wenger sold the defender just 18 months after signing him to Valencia for £9.9 million according to Transfermarkt.

It might have seemed like the right move at the time, but since returning to Spain, Gabriel has been nothing short of impressive for the La Liga side, manning a defence that has seen Valencia make it to the Champions League and subsequently the Europa League semi-final, where the Brazilian will face a reunion with his former club.

It will be a bittersweet affair for Arsenal. Whilst the fans will have no quarrels with Gabriel, the club will be kicking themselves for letting the Brazilian go after just 18 months at the club, especially with how poorly the Gunners have been defensively this season.

Gabriel has shown that Arsenal were wrong to sell him two years ago, and Unai Emery will be thinking why his predecessor didn’t keep hold of him just that extra bit longer.

أكد فرانك لامبارد مدرب فريق تشيلسي إنهم يستحقون الفوز الذي حققوه على رين، مساء أمس، في بطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا.

وتواجه الفريقان في الجولة الثالثة من دور المجموعات، حيث فاز تشيلسي بثلاثة أهداف دون رد.

وقال لامبارد في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “بي بي سي” العالمية: “أعتقد أننا استحقينا ذلك الفوز، البطاقة الحمراء وركلتي الجزاء جعلت الأمر أسهل، لقد تحركنا بالكرة في وقت مبكر من الشوط الأول، كان هناك عناصر احترافية في أدائنا اليوم”.

وأضاف: “كانت مواجهة رين قوية وفزنا بشكل جيد، تنفيذ فيرنر لركلات الجزاء؟ حسنًا، لم يكن قرارًا سهلًا لأن جورجينيو لم يكن عليه أخطاء، لقد أضاع ركلتين مؤخرًا، ودخل فيرنر في المباراة الماضية وسجل”.

Regardless of what division Leeds United find themselves in next season, it is overwhelmingly clear that they need to find a sufficient replacement for Samuel Saiz.

Despite starting the 2018/19 campaign very much part of Marcelo Bielsa’s plans, a number of underwhelming performances by the Spaniard led to him being dropped from the Whites’ side. Having missed five consecutive games for the Yorkshire-based outfit, Saiz moved to Getafe on loan in the January transfer window where he has failed to impress for the La Liga side.

Although the Azulones do have the option to purchase the 28-year-old for £6m (via the Yorkshire Evening Post), it is very unlikely that they will be willing to extend his stay. Yet when you consider that Saiz almost certainly doesn’t have a future at Elland Road under Bielsa, Leeds will be looking to strengthen in his position in the summer.

Having been linked with Luke Freeman earlier this season (via talkSPORT), the Whites should consider re-igniting their interest in the Queens Park Rangers star.

A mainstay in the Hoops’ starting eleven since joining the club in 2017 from Bristol City, the midfielder has had an outstanding year for his side as his eight goals and six assists helped John Eustace’s side secured a nineteenth-place finish in the Championship.

Arguably the Rs’ best player, without Freeman’s domineering presence, the London-based outfit may have been preparing for their first season in the third tier of English football since 2003.

A tricky customer who has the ability to change a game in an instant, the 27-year-old would thrive in Bielsa’s possession-based system if he is convinced to make the switch when the transfer window opens in July.

The attacking midfielder unlocked Kiko Casilla at Loftus Road back in February as his cheeky flick secured all three points for Queens Park Rangers.

However, any deal may rely on the willingness of the R’s to let him leave Loftus Road. Speaking to football.London about Freeman’s future, Eustace admitted that: “Luke’s a top player at this level so it’s only a good thing that there’s clubs watching him.

“It’s good for the club but hopefully he’ll be at the club next season because we need all of our top players.”

If the former Stevenage ace does become available for transfer, Bielsa must not hesitate in his efforts to bring him to Elland Road as he has all the ingredients needed to provide Leeds with a much-needed spark next season.

According to the Daily Mail, Premier League champions Manchester City plan £200m summer splurge as Pep targets Rodri, Luka Jovic, Matthijs De Ligt and Houssem Aouar.

As if Manchester City weren’t brimming with enough talent already, Pep Guardiola is planning to make moves for as many as four new faces to ensure that his side stay way ahead of their rivals in next year’s race for the Premier League title.

The Spaniard reportedly intends to “freshen up” his current squad with a defender, two midfielders and a striker on the agenda, and with one eye on European glory next year, we do not doubt that the £200million pot he has apparently been given will be spent in full. Imagine. Just imagine being a City fan knowing your title-winning side is only going to get better. What a thing, hey.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri is a key target, with City all too aware that their current defensive rock Fernandinho hit the ripe of age of 34 this month (though he is like a fine wine, only getting better with age).

City’s sporting direction Txiki Begiristain apparently made a personal check on Rodri recently, whose release clause sits at a cool £60million.

Luka Jovic is a name on pretty much every top club’s agenda, including Real Madrid, having impressed to no end this season with current club Frankfurt.

There have been murmurs about Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt’s prospective move away from Ajax with Manchester City in the mix, but Guardiola admits the Sky Blues could struggle to compete with the pulling power of Barcelona, who have already pipped them to Frenkie de Jong this summer.

On the subject of creative midfielders, Houssem Aouar impressed many as Lyon shone during the Champions League group games, and City could make him one of their key signings this summer should Ilkay Gundogan depart.

Whatever happens, City fans can sit comfortably on the knowledge that their club are pulling out all the stops this summer to ensure that their dominance over English football continues for the foreseeable future.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool aren’t planning a move for Ajax wonderkid Matthijs de Ligt this summer as Jurgen Klopp is happy with his current options at centre-back.

What’s the word, then?

Well, the Reds had been strongly linked with a move for the Holland international, who is on the radar of a number of European giants this summer.

Reports had even suggested that the Merseysiders had opened discussions over a transfer for the 19-year-old but those are allegedly well wide of the mark, according to the ECHO.

De Ligt has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in Europe after starring for Ajax on their way to the Champions League final, as well as captaining them to the Eredivisie title.

Klopp is right to ignore him

It must be extremely tempting for Klopp and Michael Edwards to get involved in the race for De Ligt, seeing as the centre-back is looking like a generational talent and a player that will be the best in his position in a few years’ time.

However, we must not forget just how well Joe Gomez was playing before his leg break away to Burnley in December.

Rio Ferdinand even said that the England international was on his way to becoming the best defender in England, which is high praise indeed from a man who arguably used to be just that.

The Charlton academy graduate was in exquisite form alongside Virgil van Dijk and looked accomplished beyond his 21 years.

We also mustn’t forget just how much more challenging the Premier League is in comparison to the Eredivisie, a league that has seen some of its star players come to England and fail miserably; names such as Vincent Janssen, Brighton’s Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Memphis Depay are great examples.

In that respect, Gomez’s form could be held in higher regard than what De Ligt is currently doing over in Holland, and Klopp is right to stick by his own young prospect rather than bring in an alternative.

هذا يأتي بعد أيام قليلة فقط من تصريحات ميسي النارية بعد عودته من التجمع الدولي مع الأرجنتين يوم، الأربعاء الماضي، وأكد خلالها أنه قد سئم من كونه مشكلة كل شيء في النادي.

ومن الواضح أن ميسي لم يستطع التغلب على مشاكله خارج الملعب بعد رحيل أصدقاءه مثل أرتورو فيدال ولويس سواريز في الميركاتو الصيفي الماضي ولكنه لا يدرك جيدًا مدى حاجة الفريق لجهوده ليس فقط من خلال تسجيل الأهداف ولكن دوره كقائد لتوجيه اللاعبين الشباب مثل بيدري، أنسو فاتي، سيرجينو ديست وترينكاو.
